Vitals provides vitamin B2 in the active form in which riboflavin is converted in the body, namely sodium riboflavin-5'-phosphate. In this active form, it plays a role as a coenzyme in energy metabolism and supports energy production by acting as a biochemical electron carrier in many of the oxidation and reduction reactions involved. It also helps protect fats, proteins and DNA from oxidation, because the production of glutathione and the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase are dependent on this vitamin. In addition, vitamin B2 can help reduce fatigue, helps maintain normal red blood cells, and is good for the skin, eyes, mucous membranes and nervous system.

Riboflavin belongs to a group of yellow pigments (flavins). When excreted, riboflavin gives urine a characteristic bright yellow color.

Vitamin B2 25 mg from Vitals offers a generous dosage in pure, biologically active form. The raw material is in a vegetable capsule from cassava and is supplemented with an excipient from rice.

Preferably use/recommend vitamin B2 in combination with a vitamin B complex or multivitamin (B vitamins work closely together).
