Approximately five hundred amino acids occur in nature. Twenty of these are amino acids that serve as building blocks for proteins in the human body, these are referred to as 'fundamental amino acids'. These fundamental amino acids can be further subdivided into the categories 'essential', 'semi-essential' and 'non-essential'. Methionine belongs to the so-called essential amino acids, which means that the body cannot produce it itself from other amino acids, and that one is completely dependent on food in order to meet one's daily needs. The methionine that is not incorporated into proteins by the body can be converted into S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) by reaction with ATP. This occurs mainly in the liver.

Methionine in the form of SAMe has the advantage that it does not have to be converted first, but is immediately available to the body.

Ingredients:

Usage:
As a dietary supplement for adults, take 1-2 capsules daily between meals (at least half an hour before, or two hours after a meal) with water. Adhere to the recommended dosage.

Limited shelf life after opening.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
