This product combines the well-known strains Lactobacillus acidophilus, LA-5 and Bifidobacterium lactis, BB-12 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GG, by far the most well-known strain. This has created a superior trio. Microbiol Trio Basis contains 3 billion cfu (colony forming units, or: the number of viable bacteria that are able to multiply and form a colony). Also available as Microbiol Trio Platinum with 15 billion cfu.
Producer Chr. Hansen
Chr. Hansen is the producer of these bacterial strains and has been responsible for the extensive research into these specific strains, also in the combination in which they are now offered. That is quite unique and very important! One bacterial strain (indicated with a suffix such as LA-5) is not the same as another, even if they belong to the same genus (in this case Lactobacillus) and the same species (Lactobacillus acidophilus). So strain-specific research is particularly telling.
Scientific research
There are over 1100 scientific publications on the strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GG, of which over 300 are human studies, making it the best researched Lactobacillus strain in the world. The strain Bifidobacterium lactis, BB-12 is supported by 370 scientific publications and 180 human studies, making it the best supported Bifidobacterium strain. Lactobacillus acidophilus, LA-5 is also very well researched and supported by 150 publications, of which 60 are human studies.
Quality and viability
Chr. Hansen's advanced production process ensures that the capsules have a long shelf life outside the refrigerator in the closed packaging. This is very convenient in practice and in the store, of course. Vitals has also opted for dark violet glass (almost black) that protects the contents against the effects of air, light and moisture. In addition, the packaging contains a moisture-absorbing bag and the packaging is hermetically sealed with an airtight aluminum seal. This further guarantees the viability of these bacterial strains.
About the name Microbiol
The name Microbiol is derived from 'microbiome'. This is the whole of all micro-organisms that live on and in our body, such as the intestinal flora. These are the bacteria that form part of our gastrointestinal tract from birth. These include lactobacilli and bifidobacteria.

Ingredients:
Rice starch (Oryza sativa), vegetable capsule (pullulan from fermented cassava starch), Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis.
Usage:
Take 1 capsule daily with a meal and water. Stick to the recommended dosage.
When using an antibiotic, it is advisable to leave at least 2 hours between taking Microbiol Trio Basis and the antibiotic.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
NB:
After opening, preferably store in the refrigerator. During use, when the cap is constantly being unscrewed, moisture and air will reach the product. In order to maintain optimum stability during use, it may be useful to store it refrigerated from that moment on. Unopened, the product can be stored perfectly well at room temperature.
Before use, consult your doctor or midwife if you are pregnant and seriously overweight and/or have (gestational) diabetes.
