Highly bioavailable
An inadequate vitamin D balance is more often the rule than the exception due to the scarcity of sunlight in our cold Benelux. Nevertheless, a balanced diet can be an effective remedy. The forms ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) can be found in mushrooms and food of animal origin respectively. Mushrooms and animals produce vitamin D in the same way as humans, under the influence of UV radiation (sunlight). The form that you consume from animal products (vitamin D3) is even exactly the same vitamin D that our human skin produces, and therefore the most biologically available form for our human digestive system.

Low dosage
Vitamin D3 – 5 mcg from Vitakruid is the ideal product to supplement your basic dosage of vitamin D3 in small steps. The low dosage makes it possible to address an insufficient vitamin D level very specifically. For example, if you use one of the Multi's Day & Night from Vitakruid, you will receive between 10 mcg and 25 mcg of vitamin D3 daily. However, there are specific target groups that have a slightly higher vitamin D requirement. Additional supplementation with Vitamin D3 – 5 mcg in addition to using one of the Multi's Day & Night from Vitakruid is then recommended.

Small tablet
The vitamin D3 – 5 mcg tablets are extremely small. We are talking about a diameter of only seven millimeters, an average weight of 125 milligrams and a thickness of around three millimeters. Even swallowing several tablets at once should not be a problem!
