High dose vitamin C as calcium/magnesium ascorbate
An insurmountable problem of this nutrient; we are not able to produce the vitamin ourselves. As a result, we are completely dependent on our diet for a sufficient vitamin C content. Especially in our current busy lives, eating enough vegetables and fruit, the main source of vitamin C, unfortunately still falls by the wayside. Then taking a good supplement can be a welcome addition. Vitamin C in the form of calcium/magnesium ascorbate is a well-absorbable and biologically available form.

The antioxidants manganese, zinc and copper
In the Buffered Vitamin C formula we have also included the trace elements manganese, zinc and copper. These are so-called superoxide dismutase enzymes, also known as SOD. These oxidants are created during oxidation in the mitochondria, the energy centre of our cells.

Turbo for the other ingredients OPC
OPC is often used as a separate supplement. This formula contains the same amount as in similar preparations for a more favorable price. The main reason we have included this grape seed extract in the Buffered Vitamin C is its ability to support the functioning of other nutrients in the formula. The nutrient acts as a kind of turbo!

The powerful nutrients L-glutathione and quercetin
Quercetin is a plant-derived flavonol that we usually find in nature together with vitamin C. This natural colorant is widely distributed in the plant kingdom and therefore also in food. Especially in the outer skin of red onions we find large amounts of quercetin.

In this Buffered Vitamin C, this flavonol is included together with L-glutathione. This is a tri-peptide (compound of three amino acids), which can be produced by the body in the liver from the amino acids cysteine, glutamine and glycine. Together, quercetin and l-glutathione ensure an optimal synergistic effect!
