What is Matcha powder?

Matcha is a green tea made from the young leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. It is a traditional Japanese tea powder used in tea ceremonies and is becoming increasingly popular worldwide as an ingredient in various foods and drinks. Matcha is the only type of tea where the entire tea leaf is drunk in powder form.

The finest whole leaves are destemmed and slowly ground into a fine bright green tea powder. The shade-grown process gives matcha its vibrant green color and unique flavor profile.

How do you use Matcha powder?

The high levels of chlorophyll and theanine in matcha give the matcha powder a unique, full and aromatic taste. The pronounced umami taste is both vegetal and slightly bitter. Matcha powder can be used to make tea, smoothies, pastries, a matcha latte or a face mask.

What are the health benefits of Matcha powder?

Matcha is known for its high levels of antioxidants, caffeine and L-theanine. Matcha is also rich in Vitamin C, which contributes to normal psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Beat 1-2 tablespoons of Matcha powder with water at 60-70°C until a frothy green liquid. Never beat for longer than 30 seconds so that the tea does not become bitter. Or mix 1-2 tablespoons of Matcha Powder with fruit juice smoothie. Contains caffeine, not suitable for children and pregnant women. This product is not a substitute for a varied diet. Store cool, dry and closed.
